anatomy and physiology, intermediate

Did you know that today's chronic neck tension is often caused by liver-gallbladder dysfunction or that tomorrow's low back pain is really kidney tension in disguise? Most massage therapists as well as the general public think of muscular pain as having its root cause in the muscle itself. The truth is often very different.

In Diploma B's Anatomy and Physiology, you will learn about the functions of the organs and their special relationships to the various muscles of the body. In addition, there is special focus on some of the more common disease processes that massage therapists are likely to encounter.

This course is a wonderful complement to any of the abdominal massage techniques taught at the school as well as being a great introduction to the use of herbs and organ detoxification therapies.

Massage therapists, as well as people from all educational backgrounds are encouraged to more fully explore the vital relationships between muscular tension and organ dysfunction; as well as the practical applications of nutrition, organ detoxification, and abdominal massage in the interest of improving client care.
