Amicus Brief and Petition
We filed submissions with the Bar Human Rights Committee in the Supreme Court of Pakistan on the rule of law and the importance of an impartial tribunal following the suspension of the Chief Justice of Pakistan. These submissions were filed as an annex to a petition lodged by Pakistani lawyer Mr Anas Khan, as procedural restrictions imposed by the Supreme Court of Pakistan prevented us from filing an amicus brief. We are awaiting the decision of the Court as to whether they will exercise their discretion to hear our submissions.
If you want to read the petition please click on the link below. |
