Sherri Lynn.....Tonight!

Sherri Lynn is not unlike the mountains where she was born.  A native of Asheville, North Carolina, Sherri Lynn has been singing since the age of five.   Her father Eugene “Red” Howard played at the original Grand Ole Opry and as a child she remembers falling to sleep with the sounds of his steel guitar.  Sherri Lynn’s natural gifts revealed themselves early.  Growing up in church she was given solos to sing.  Every week she would perform weekly with her father for patients at Oteen Hospital and various area nursing homes.

These early events gave Sherri Lynn the desire to make music her life’s choice.  As a young mother she liked to take her guitar out of the case and sing for the people closest to her in her life – her children, family, and friends.  First and foremost Sherri Lynn has always loved people and music.  When she combined the two, the magic began.

Over the years Sherri Lynn has shared the stage with Roy Acuff,  Justin Tubb, Hank Snow, Jimmie Dickens, Jean Shepard, Porter Wagoner, Jack Greene, Johnny Russell, and Roy Drusky.  Along the way she has performed at many festivals, benefits, television and stage shows.

Recently she has taken to the road performing at The Lobster Trap, The Grey Eagle, Barley’s Tap Room, Beanstreets, The Bier Garden, Shindig on the Green, Hannah Flanagan’s, The Apple Orchard, Paddler’s Pub, Sweet Heaven, The Asheville Pizza Company, and the Mountain Folk Festival.
