Women of all ages and stages of life in our congregation have many opportunities to be involved.

The ministries our women participate in are all designed to:

 

            Elevate our relationship with God

            Encourage our sisters in Christ

MINISTRIES

 

Annual Women’s Retreat

 Each Fall, our women may attend an overnight retreat for the purpose of growing closer to God and to each other. We have activities, devotionals, and discussions that center around a theme that is relevant to our needs, while enjoying fellowship with each other. Sisterhood of the Book

Many of our women love to read Christian Fiction. During the school year, we have monthly book club meetings to discuss and choose common books to read. If you are interested in participating, contact the sponsor.

“Tough Chicks” Camping Experience

Once per summer, our women who enjoy camping get together for a one or two night camping trip. This is mainly a time for fellowship and enjoying God’s beautiful outdoors, but we do take time to sing and pray together, as well as have short devotionals. Meal Ministry

Our women stand ready to provide meals for people who have lost a loved one or who are injured or ill. If you or someone you know needs meals, or if you’d like to help with providing food for those who need meals, contact one of the sponsors.

Prayer Sisters

Each year, participating women are paired up with a sister for the purpose of praying together. They meet face to face as often as possible, share prayer requests, and keep journals of their praying, answered prayers, and ongoing prayer issues. Partners are changed at the annual Women’s retreat. If you’d like a prayer sister, contact the sponsor.

Showers of Love

Our women love to organize baby showers, bridal showers, and other special celebrations for those who have something to celebrate. If you’d like to help with these, just let one of the sponsors know!

Baskets of Love

Gift baskets are created for those in need, at any time of year. If you know of someone who would benefit from a gift basket, if you’d like to donate items for the baskets, or if you’d be willing to help assemble the baskets, contact the sponsor.

Quiet Bag

Quiet bags are available every Sunday on the back pew. These include items to help keep little hands busy during worship, such as books, cereal snacks, stickers, and crayons. Feel free to use one! All we ask is that you put the reusable items back in the bag, and return it to the back pew. If you’d like to donate items for the bags, contact the sponsor.
