- I was hired as the GRA by the Bioscience division at the Los Alamos National Laboratory in April 2007, about the same time as I was admitted into PhD program at ICS Department. The B-6 team, I am working in, is a part of the DOE Joint Genomic Institute and specializes in "high throughput genome finishing and analysis in support
of DOE missions in energy, bioremediation and carbon sequestration".
Initially I was working as a part of the large software development team on genome finishing pipeline. Later, in January 2008, I switched for Oral patogen database development, and at same time, I have started research in the metagenomic data processing and collaboration with Single Cell Genomics team. In February 2009 I was converted into the full-time employee at LANL and currently working on the metagenomics data analysis and developing a software for the sequencing project management.
