Chair: Benny Shao, O.D The Young OD Focus Group was created in 2004 and currently sponsored by the SCCOS in order to address the concerns and needs of new optometry graduates. Many graduates feel that their education has prepared them to be optometrists but not necessarily business owners.
The Young OD Focus Group's mission is to give new optometry graduates the know-how to handle the business challenges presented in different modes of optometry practice by putting them in touch with more experienced doctors in the SCCOS during our monthly meetings. Meetings are normally held every second Monday of each month. |
