12. How does the SCAPI Email alias work?

12.1 You must have an existing email address you can use. If you do not have one yet, you can get one for free from yahoo or hotmail (go to mail.yahoo.com or www.hotmail.com). For example, my email address is simonsandoval@hotmail.com

12.2 Use your email account in no 1 above and send a request to email@scapi.org with your name and top three choices for an email alias. Example, I send an email from simonsandoval@hotmail.com to email@scapi.org - This is Simon Sandoval. Please give me an email alias name simon@scapi.org, or sandoval@scapi.org or simonsandoval@scapi.org.

12.3 SCAPI will check the master list if you are a member (and you have paid for that year) and which email aliases are not yet used (first come first served).

12.4 We will email you when we have made the alias. Hence, any email sent to simon@scapi.org will get forwarded to simonsandoval@hotmail.com and I can read it there using my hotmail account.

12.5 If you get a new email address and want to change the destination alias, email us the request at email@scapi.org So note that you do NOT get a new email account! Rather you get an alias that will forward all your emails to your existing email account.
