I.
NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2005
Nais pong ipahiwatig ng SCAPI sa buong sambayanan ng
climbers na tuloy ang National Championships. Ito'y
pamumunuhan ng SCAPI bilang host sa kadahilanang kinakailangang
magkaroon ng Championships.
SETTING
Saan: Power-UP Pearl Plaza, Parañaque
Kailan: Agosto 27 to 28, 2005
OFFICIALS
Ang SCAPI po ay nag-hahanap ngayon ng mga taong nais
matuto at maging official route setter, belayer, o judge.
Tatawagin kayong apprentice. Sa mga officials na libre
sa mga araw na ito, maaring sabihan ang SCAPI sa lalong
madaling panahon, para mailagay na kayo sa accounting
at auditing.
REGISTRATION
Ang registration ay ganun parin, Php 350.00
SPONSORSHIP
Nag-hahanap po kami ng mga nais maging sponsor sa isa
sa mga pinaka-aanyayahang event sa climbing community.
Kung mayroon kayong kakilalang nais mag-sponsor ng competition
jerseys o competition prizes, paki-sabihan po silang
lahat.
LODGING
Para sa lodging: Ang pinaka-malapit at mura ay ang Kabayan
Hotel na nag-hahalagang Php 299/night. Isa itong dormtel.
II. JUNIORS
Ang junior national team ay sina:
Lawrence Mistades, David Jingco, Marti David, Edmund
Gemelo Jr., Hayca Bunevacz, Clara Lagman, Tala Taningco,
at Keilah Europa.
Sa Agosto 25 to 28 ang World Youth Championships, Beijing,
PRC.
Kailangan po nila ng tulong para makapunta doon. Kung
kayo ay may kaunting halaga na makakatulong sa kanila
i-deposit po sa BPI SCAPI Account No. 3083-5627-48.
Ang inyong tulong ay mapupunta sa kanilang airfare,
lodging, at pagkain.
Si Maman Salada po ang namumuno ng Youth Development,
tawagan po siya sa Play Underground 898-0273. (Maari
nyo pong kulitin si Maman sa 0922-5474758.)
III. BIDDING FOR JUNIOR NATIONALS
Ang bidding para sa Junior National Championships ay
bukas para sa Visayas Climbing Group. Naisipan ng SCAPI
na maganda ang lokasyon ng Visayas para sa pagsubok
na ito dahil ito'y nasa kalagitnaan ng buong Pilipinas.
Kaya, para sa mga taga-Visayas, "it's your time
to shine." Tinatawagan ang : HABAGAT / CEBU INTERNATIONAL
SCHOOL / CUERNOS DE NEGROS / ROCK OUTDOOR CENTER / SOUTH
WALL / TRIBU OUTDOOR / BUKID TACLOBAN / CENTER OF GRAVITY
/ SILIMAN UNIVERSITY / VERTIGO upang mag-simulang mag-bid.
Best bid wins. Pakitignan ang bidding document para
sa Nationals na maaring i-download sa www.scapi.org.
Magandang schedule po nito ay 3rd week ng December 2005.
(Maraming oras para makapag-prepare at mag-hanap ng
sponsors.)
Lead climbing at Speed Climbing po ang format ng competition.
Ito ang mga kakailanganin:
OFFICIALS - Setters: 3 setters + apprentices
Belayers: 4 belayers + apprentices
Judges: 3 judges + apprentices
Marshalls: 10 people
FOOD - for Officials (for the duration of the event)

VENUE - climbing wall 40 ft. recommended
2 panels for speed climbing
LODGING - for Officials (free) and Competitors (recommend
cheap and
clean housing)
COMPETITION PROPER - posters, streamers for the event
competition jerseys (officials & competitors)

computer w/ MS Excel and printer
whistle, timer, score sheets, pencils,

note that SCAPI endeavors to keep to the standards and
guidelines of the International
Competition Climbing Committee (ICC) which is the
sport competition body of the
International Mountaineering and Climbing Federation
(UIAA). The current ICC guidebook which contains all the
rules and regulations, minimum wall specifications, as
well as hosting guidelines can be found here.
Prospective bidders are required to read this document
to understand the basis and need for the SCAPI bidding
guidelines.
