Scoring:   SEC Swimming/Diving Championship Meet will use 16 place scoring:

Relays:  Score A & B relays teams (no B relay will score ahead of an A relay).   If either the A or the B relay is disqualified, then the next fastest relay from a
      team will score.

Individuals:   Score a maximum of the top 4 individuals from each team in each event.

Entry:                    There are unlimited entries for each event, including relays (must follow the National Federation rule of 4 events per participant, 2 of which must be relays).

SEC Swimming/Diving Championship Meet will swim as follows:

·         Prelims will be seeded according to National Federation Rules based on best times.

·         Finals will be seeded as follows:

·         Relays: Two heats of relays will swim with each team’s two fastest relays based on prelim times.  At the meet and before the relays are swam, the coach must designate the members and order of each relay.  For the heat sheets, only names designated on the original entry will be listed.  For the finals, we will list the names and assume that they are the same that swam in prelims, unless the coach changes it on Friday.  The 4 open lanes in the relay heats (2 in each heat) will be filled with exhibition C and D relays.

·         Individual events:  There will be three heats swum in the finals.  Two of the heats will consist of only those 4 individuals from each team that are scoring, with the top 8 in the finals and the next 8 in the consolations all based on time.  The Bonus heat will consist of the fastest 8 who can not score (allows individual a second chance to make State Cut-offs).  The order of heats for each event will be Bonus, Consolations, and Finals

·         Eight lanes will be used to run the meet.

·         Diving sheets must be faxed by Thursday.  Changes can be made until 11:00 AM Friday.  Please duplicate the diving sheets as needed.  All Divers will do eight dives during the Prelims and Semifinals and the top 16 divers will dive in Finals.  No more than 4 from one school can be in the Finals.

Electronic Entry:  Please email (wilkening@aaps.k12.mi.us) with your Electronic Entry (like State

Meet Entry). We will email the meet events for your Team Manager file.   Our goal is to have the heat sheets available Tuesday after all the entries have been sent.
