Students
will be using the Houghton Mifflin Spelling and Vocabulary series, which
stresses spelling word parts, spelling patterns, and reinforces English
skills. Also, emphasis will be
placed on the exploration of spelling-meaning relationships. This helps build vocabulary
development. There will be weekly
activities and tests. Students
should be bringing activities home each Monday. Assignments will be due on Thursday of every week, and final
tests are on Fridays. In addition
to the spelling lessons, students will be expected to spell words correctly in
all written reports and projects, and to do the best of their ability on daily
work.
