Biome Project

You will be designing a PowerPoint presentation about one biome. Before beginning this project, you will need to follow the guidelines listed below.

Ø Complete each written section first before putting the PowerPoint presentation together. Each of these sections will be assigned separately in class, will have a due date for completion, and will receive a grade. You will then save each part, make any necessary corrections, and add them to your presentation when we visit the Computer Lab.  Once your entire project is completed, you will receive an additional grade for it.

Use the following web sites to help you complete this project. There may be other sites that would be useful, but you can find all of the information you need by using these. You may certainly use other resources such as books, reference materials, newspapers, magazines, etc.

Written Assignments (these will be assigned individually in class and have specific due dates)

Ø An acrostic poem about your biome                 

Ø Climate Information that will include:        

1.   A short paragraph about the climate of your biome

2.   A graph showing the monthly temperatures of your biome

3.   A graph showing the monthly precipitation of your biome

Ø Problems facing your biome                         

1.   A list of five to ten problems that your biome is having

2.   Select one of the problems and write a short paragraph detailing the problem

Ø A written piece explaining what the future holds for you biome
