Every year parents ask how they can assist our classroom from home.  One way that really helps our children is to donate a book to our class library.  This year your children will be reading in small groups (similar to book clubs), where they will be reading and discussing a variety of text with their classmates.  We would like to have a large selection of book sets for them to choose.

Each month, Scholastic® book orders will come home with your child.  One book will be highlighted as the donation book.  This book varies in price from $0.95- $3.00. If you choose to donate, we will laminate your book cover and put a bookplate in the front that reads: “This book was donated by your child’s name.”

(Your child’s name) has donated this book to our classroom.

Our third book order is due November 30, 2009. This month there will be NO donation book. Please remember that any books you order earn our class points that can be used to buy additional classroom books!
