Problem of the Week

for Tuesday Nov. 6, 2012

A bee in a honeycomb finds himself in the hexagon marked "B". He wishes to walk to the honey which is in the hexagon marked "H". He will travel according to these rules. He can move directly to the hexagon on his right, or he can move down and to the right when he is in the top row, or up and to the right when he is in the bottom row. How many different paths can the bee take to his honey?
