Problem of the Week

Sometime after Thanksgiving, the 8th graders will be allowed to go out for lunch. They can walk over the 5 by 5 block area pictured below with Saint Ann's located at the darkened point. Stanley wishes to find the longest lunch walk he can take that will start and end at Saint Ann's and that will not traverse the same block twice. How many blocks is the longest path? Note that although Stanley will not walk over the same block twice, he may pass through the same intersection multiple times.
