Problem of the Week

Vince wants to put a giant poster of the Saint Ann's owl on the front of our building. Tony Smith has provided 5 pints of yellow, 3 pints of blue, and 1 pint of red paint for the project, and says that this is exactly the right amount to cover the owl. Vince, however, wants a different color for each of the four sections: the 36 square ft. of the body, the 22 square ft. of the head, the 8 square ft. of wings, and the 6 square ft. of feet. How can use this paint to cover the entire owl in four colors. Hint: you will need to mix two colors. In your answer, please state the amount of pints of each color that you will use to cover each body part.
