Instead of a Christmas present, Kevin asks his dad for money. He wants 1 penny for the first day of December, 2 pennies for the second day of December, 4 pennies for the third day, doubling the number of pennies on each subsequent day right through to the 30th day of December. His dad agrees to this seemingly modest proposal and says that he will write him a check on New Year's Eve for the total amount accumulated over the first 30 days of the month. Kevin asks him to round the total off to the leading digit. If Kevin's dad is to make good on the agreement, the check in dollars will be the number 1 followed by how many zeros?
