Winners of the three-square challenge

Congratulations to all students who determined that the ratio of three dimensions in the rectangular solid could be 1:1:4 and that this could be covered by 3 squares of size 1by1, 1by1, and 4by4. Winners include 3rd graders Leo, Bea, Sparrow, Maisie G., Ginger, Maisie N., Sebbie, Clover, Leo, and Jacques. Jim Totten points out that there is another solution. If the solid has dimensions in ratio 1:4:6, it can be covered by 2 squares of size 4 and one square of size 6.
