RCS AIG Vision Statement:

Rockingham County Schools’ AIG program and its stakeholders will prepare students to be successful lifelong learners.  The program will draw on higher order thinking skills and incorporate the use of 21st century learning tools to enhance and differentiate curriculum, cultivate student potential, and encourage passionate learning in order to meet all students’ unique social, emotional, and academic needs.

RCS AIG Mission:

The Academically or Intellectually Gifted (AIG) program of Rockingham County Schools strives to identify and meet the unique educational needs of gifted students who come from all ethnic, cultural, and socio-economic groups.  The cultivation of potential in this population must be enhanced through an appropriate match of differentiated services to individual needs as we strive to prepare the students for success in the 21st Century.  The program encourages higher order thinking and problem solving while also  addressing the social and emotional needs of the students.
