The Preventive Dentistry Division is one of the Dentistry Department Division. It includes Periodontics, Pedodontics, Community Dentistry, and Orthodontics.
Periodontics is the specialty the deals with the diseases affecting the gum and the tooth supporting tissues. Pedodontics deals with the dentition of children and adolescents. Community Dentistry is that branch of dentistry that deals with the preventive aspects of dentistry and community health. Orthodontics deals with the correction of malposed teeth.
