A delegation from the USS Dauntless' elite Special Scientific Operations team undertook an important Away Mission yesterday. The objective: to have a few drinks with civilian sceptics, to discuss matters sceptical and scientific, and to have a good time. The mission was successful! SciOps members joined their civilian counterparts at Ogilvy's Pub & Grill in Midrand, Gauteng, South Africa last night for a few drinks and something to eat. Topics for discussion ranged from new books being published to the Homeopathy Masters Degree offered by the University of Johannesburg. A great time was had by all, and the SciOps team eagerly anticipate next month's Sceptics in the Pub. |
