These mobile carriages transport crewmembers around the ship through a network of specially constructed passages. The Turbolift shafts have a reduced atmospheric pressure, thus allowing the Turbolifts to move through them without experiencing excessive wind-resistance.

The Turbolifts are powered by a combination of magnetic levitation rails, and micro RCS thrusters, and are equipped with redundant life-support and inertial damper systems.
