Bio: Swart began his career in 1999 as the commanding officer of an independent vessel named the USS Inkosi. After several years commanding the Inkosi, Swart transferred to STARFLEET International, where he was granted the rank of Commander and a position as Command Attaché aboard the USS Malverne NCC-2205.

In 2004 Swart transferred to the newly launching USS Dauntless, where Captain Tom Donohoe granted him the position of Chief Science Officer.

Over the next three years, Swart earned a promotion to the rank of Captain, and made his way up through the USS Dauntless' chain of command, from CSO to Second Officer, to Executive Officer (under the command of Rear Admiral Kim Donohoe) and eventually took command in January 2007.

Being a resident of South Africa, when Swart took command of the USS Dauntless, it transferred into Region 8, thereby becoming the first ship in the Region. Swart was elected by the Dauntless' crew to the position of Acting Regional Coordinator where he still serves.

In June 2008 Swart received a rank promotion to Fleet Captain.
