The Starship Dauntless is a Star Trek fan club, and a chapter of STARFLEET the International Star Trek Fan Association Inc. The Dauntless is also the flagship for STARFLEET's Region 8, the geographical area including Africa and the Middle East.
The USS Dauntless is what we call a "correspondence chapter" which means that we don't officially meet in person. Instead we do most of our interaction over the Internet. This means that we can (and do) have members from all over the world! However some of our members (particularly those in Johannesburg, South Africa, Orange Park, Florida and Mbabane, Swaziland) do get together from time to time for Away Missions, Star Trek screenings, conventions or just a good time with friendly people.
