Teaching Experience

 

2008 – Present.  Half-Time Professor of English.  Monclair State University, Montclair, NJ.

Courses include English 105 and 106, composition courses which focus on writing using non-fiction texts in 105 and literature in 106.   Use Blackboard to track students’ progress and communicate with them remotely. Sit on committee for both creative faculty readings and the development of a Writing Program award for first year writing.  2/2 course load. 

 

2008 – Present.  Adjunct Professor of English.  Kean University, Union, NJ.

                Courses include both Composition and World Literature, an upper level literature course dealing               with a wide array of creative work. 

 

2008 – Present.  Professor of English.  DeVry University, North Brunswick, NJ.

                Courses include Studies in Poetry, Contemporary Literature and Technology, Society and Culture.  Use

                DeVry’s ECollege system to track students’ progress, communicate with students remotely and incorporate online discussions into curriculum.

 

2008 .  Professor of English.  Berkeley College, Woodbridge, NJ.

                Taught English 103, a composition course built around literature, specifically short fiction.

 

2006-2008.  Teaching Fellow.  Long Island University, Brooklyn, NY.

                Taught English 16, a composition course centered around both non-fiction and fiction writings, including one full-length novel.
