OverviewProctoring tests refers to checking an examinee's identity, starting a test session for the examinee, and monitoring the examinee during testing to ensure they are not cheating. We recommend that you stay in the room with examinees during the testing process. You can also have a testing center proctor tests for your organization. Please call our office for more information about using a testing center to conduct tests.Once you have verified an examinees identity, there are numerous ways to start tests. Two techniques (methods #1 and #2) are performed by a proctor or administrator and automate the login process. We prefer using these techniques since User ID's and passwords are never printed, written down, or handed out to examinees, making the system more secure. The third technique is manually logging the examinee into the system using their unique Login ID and password. Method #1 - Administrator Home PageThe easiest way to proctor an exam is to log on to the computer that the examinee will be taking the test from as yourself (a proctor or administrator). After logging on, the home page will show all examinees that have tests that need to be completed.Clicking the Start Testing link next to the examinees name will log you out of the system and log on the examinee. The examinee's Information Verification page will immediately load indicating that the examinee is now logged in to the system. Method #2 - Start tests from the View Assignments pageThe View Assignments page provides a listing of all assignments that have been made for each test. Assignments that have a status of Pending or In Progress can be launchedClicking the Start Me link next to the examinees name will log you out of the system and log on the examinee. The examinee's Information Verification page will immediately load indicating that the examinee is now logged in to the system. Method #3 - Manually log the examinee into the systemExaminees login credentials are listed in the summary provided when tests are assigned and on the View Assignments page. These can be written down or printed and used to manually log examinees into the system on the computer from which you will be testing.Starting the ExamRegardless of the technique used to log the examinee onto the system, they will be greeted by the Information Verification screen. The examinee can now sit down at this computer, verify their information, and begin testing by clicking the Begin button next to the test(s) they have been assigned.
