Creating Job Profiles

Job profiles allow multiple test results to be combined into a battery to determine a candidate's performance. Job profiles can be set up to contain a single test, multiple test, and a variety of score options can be configured. We often create job profiles for clients as this is the most complex configuration of the reporting system.

Qualification scores (also known as cutting scores) are used in the qualification reports to determine if an examinee is qualified.  An examinee is considered qualified if their score is at or above the qualification score.  For more information on how to determine the qualification score, read the FAQ: How do I determine what qualification score to use?

Only administrators who have access to all test results are permitted to change an account's qualification scores.  Refer to the table of user permissions for more information.

Step 1: Go to the View Job Results page

Go to the View Job Results page by clicking the link View Job Results on the left side menu.

Step 2: Create a Job Profile or Select an existing Job Profile

If you have never created a job before, click on Create New Job and enter the Job's Title.

If you are editing a Job Profile, select an existing job from the drop-down and click on Edit Required Scores.

Secondary and Tertiary Scores

If you have multiple levels for which you are testing, you can set different cutting scores and the reports will indicate to which level the candidate is qualified. Simply set score for the Primary, Secondary, or Tertiary score.

Not Requiring All Tests

You can use the "Primary Scores Required" to allow a candidate to only pass some of the tests and still be qualified.  For example, if you have 4 tests, but the candidate only needs to pass any 3 of the 4, you can set the set "Primary Scores Required" to 3.  If the candidate meets the Primary score for at least 3 of the tests in the profile, the candidate is considered qualified.

Leaving the "Scores Required" fields blank defaults to requiring that all of the tests are required.

Scoring Alternate Forms

If you have alternate forms, you can add both products to the Job Profile.  Set the cutting scores for each test and then set the "Primary Scores Required" field to 1.  This will require that only one of the tests be passed for the candidate to be qualified.
