This website will introduce you to math with Mrs. Hammond.
The math department at Shea believes that everyone can learn math. Learning is achieved through questioning, making mistakes, and flexible thinking. As educators we will praise you for your hard work, not for being “smart”, grade less and assess more, and spend more time asking “why” and less time showing. As mathematicians you will make mistakes unashamedly, critique the reasoning of others, and spend time discussing and asking why.

- Students are encouraged to revisit their notes nightly, as a good study habit.
- Work must be done in pencil, any work in pen will not be accepted.
- late work is always accepted for FULL credit within the current grading period.
- Test/Quiz re-do's are available at the student's request, by appointment.
All re-do's must be completed within 1 week of the original test/quiz date.
