Scientific Research
This picture is a picture of a tulip scientifically a tulip is known as a “perfect flower”, unlike the Begonia which is an “imperfect flower”. For a flower to be a perfect flower it must have but male and female reproductive organs. While a Begonia may only be male or female the tulip is both. The flower reproductive systems are called Stamen (male) and Carpel (female). The male system is broken into two organs the first is filament, the filament is there to hold the anther(outer ring on inside of flower) . The anther is the second organ the anther contains and produces the pollen for a flower. The female reproductive system is a little more complex than its male counter part for it has four reproductive organs the ovary, the ovule, the style, and the stigma.  The first organ the ovary it simply (well its not simple but has it has 1 thing to do) produces the ovules. The ovules are essentially the egg of the flower they will combine with the pollen in the fertilization process. Now is the style the style is like the filament but it is a tube connecting the ovary and upholding the stigma. Finally is the stigma which is the organ that will receive the pollen during the fertilization process (center of picture). Some flowers are only one gender others like the tulip have got it all.

Relevance
This Picture is relevant to me and my study of science in the following way. it is relevant to my study of science and me because botany is a large part of science and is also an area of science I don't know anything about so this project helped to develop a vague understanding of botany and may help as I continue my study of science through out high school.

Other Comments

- one thing that I personally like about my photo is that the inside came out in almost perfect focus and the outer petals were a little fuzzy this my appear to be a bad thing, but in fact I believe that it helped to make the inside of the flower the main focus of the picture.
- Also I liked how the stigma of the flower is almost in the center of the photo.
- The last thing that I like about the photo was that the inside of a flower is usually pushed out of focus. By this I mean that people usually only focus on the colors and appearance of the flower, but I believe that this picture helps to show the "inner beauty" of the flower.
- this does not pertain to the picture but i would like to state that the information was provided by http://www.enchantedlearning.com/
