Scientific ResearchThe name "bleeding heart" describes the unique flower that resembles a pink or white heart with drops of blood at the tip. Bleeding hearts are aslso known as "Dutchman's breeches" which is posionous. This plant prodcues alkaloids, which are natural chemical compouds. If you eat enough of these you might get a narcotic effect, which is loss of feelinf, or feeling paralized. This plant was used for different types of skin infections. RelevanceThis photo is relevant to me because it used to be my "gandma's flower". They are beautiful and they come in different colors.
