Dandelions are generally an asextual plants. Seed reproduction varies from 54 to over 172 seeds per day!! One estimate is that more than 240,000,000 seeds are reproduced a year.  Flower heads open for 2 to 3 days at a time in the summer, but they are open less than 2 days in the spring. Dandelion seeds are readily disminatatedby the wind. The pappus expands and forms a parachute-like structure at right angles to the main axis of the seed air borne. Dandelion seeds are non-dormant when produced.

This photo was interesting to me because I was wondering how do plants reproduce if they can't have sextual intercourse. This question went around in my head for so long that I finally had a break down and took a picture to get a closer look at them. Come to find out that you can't even see how they reproduce, people can only tell you.

I would like to thank Mrs. Renyck for letting me use her camera. It was very useful. I want to take this time to appreciate everyone who has taken the time to look at my picture.
