Scientific Research
These enticing animals are called Box Jellyfish. They are located at the Monterey Bay Aquarium and are very famous for being so colorful and stringy. Don't be fooled by their awesome appearance though, these jellyfish are among the venomous and deadly predators in the world! Although they may be able to stun and kill their meal before they eat it, sea turtles are 100% unaffected by their venom and often eat them

Relevance
These jellies are predators, which is one of the terms that we defined and learned about when we studied ecology.  Predators were described in our books as "often fast" but these jellyfish are agonizingly slow. They may just be the laziest predators alive.

This is so cool. At first when I looked at this image I thought that you had actually been in the water with the jellyfish using an underwater camera, but then I saw the Aquarium part.
