Hi! My name is Gustavo Chau Loo Kung.  I received my B.Sc. in electrical engineering from San Martín de Porres University (2012) and received my Masters degree in Digital Signal and Image Processing from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú (2017). Between 2015 and 2016, I was a research assistant at the medical imaging laboratory at PUCP,  performing research in medical imaging, ultrasound and phase aberration. From 2017 to 2018, I was a research assistant at the Digital Signal Processing laboratory in the same institution, where I worked image processing, optimization and inverse problems.

Since 2018,  I am a PhD student at the Bioengineering Department at Stanford University working in Jennifer McNab's lab in the Radiology Department. I work on different topics involving microstructural Diffusion MRI, quantifying myelination changes, machine learning applications in medical imaging, and tractography.

Besides these topics, my research interests also include: neuroscience, brain-machine interfaces, signal and image processing, inverse problems,  and mathematical optimization.
