What is Google Web Elements?
Google Web Elements allow you to incorporate your favorite Google products -- like Maps, News, Friend Connect and YouTube -- right onto your own website. They require no programming knowledge; all you need to do is use the customization wizard and we’ll automatically generate a snippet of text to paste on your page. Who can use Elements?
Elements are so easy to add that anyone with a website or blog can use them.
- Use the Map Element to help visitors find a location.
- With the Custom Search Element, your visitors can search your entire site and other sites you specify with the power of Google Search.
- To help people keep track of your upcoming events, use the Calendar Element.
- Make your site more engaging by including a Google News slideshow about topics that are relevant to your site or YouTube videos from various news providers.
See below for a full list of Google Web Elements.
How Google Web Elements Work
The example is the News element Wizard. After choosing from a few options like search topics (the topics of headlines that you want to appear) you can preview your element, then simply grab the code and paste it on your page.
