About Manduca
The Manduca Baby Carrier has been designed in Germany by Wickelkinder GmbH where it was first available in late 2007.
Manduca suits most people due to the adjustable
shoulder straps that can
be carried straight over the shoulders or crossed.
In Manduca a newborn baby can be carried safely due to the integrated baby insert. Babies from 3 months can be carried without the infant insert. Toddlers can sit comfortable thanks to the adjustable back part.

Orthopaedically correct
Manduca allows your baby or toddler to be carried in an orthopaedically correct
position, i.e. sitting position with legs spread to the side. Most baby carriers do not accommodate this important requirement. Most carriers have a narrow bottom which doesn't support the babies legs and the legs' weight is mainly carried by the developing pelvis rather than the carrier. This can lead to problems.
Nap time
Manduca has an integrated neck and head support that can be used for sleeping children.
Comfy and gentle on your back
In Manduca you carry your child comfortably close to your
body. You
can carry your child on your front or on your back. The adjustable belt
puts the weight on your hips. The padded shoulder straps can be carried straight
over the shoulders, like a backpack, or crossed.
Organic
All materials used for making Manduca are specially tested and controlled for harmful substances. It is made of a sturdy surface fabric made of soft canvas (hemp/organic cotton) and a softer cotton inner.
