 Thief of Time

I am hardly what you would call organized, and am even less so what you would call on-time. I hate deadlines and I hate having to be a to specific place at a specific time. I put of doing just about everything just as long as I can. Going to bed at night, getting up in the morning, studying for a test... you get the idea, everything. Procrastination is my way of life, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

I have found that my best and most creative ideas often don't come until the last possible second. You can find me up at 3 in the morning, working on some project or cramming for an exam that will make or break my grade. There is just something inspiring about this situation. And more often than not, I get good results.

A lot of you would claim that I am crazy, that crams creates stress, too much stress for anyone to be productive or even remember anything that was studied. But for me, the exact opposite is true. When I procrastinate, I actually have less stress and less anxiety...

I'll admit, it can be extremely stressful sometimes. But this stress is good. It's motivating and only lasts a moment. I can take one hit, and then I am done. There is no sense in prolonging my anxiety any longer than is necessary. I don't want something bothering me for weeks and months. I'd much rather face a situation and deal with it just once, and then be done with it. This allows me to do what I want, and enjoy it simply because I am not always stressed out.

Now, constantly putting things off doesn't get me straight A grades, and I wouldn't say it creates very many good habits. But it works for me, and it's how I get by. I have always heard that procrastination is the theif of time, but I can worry about that tomorrow.
