The Artist's guide to YouTube

Artists can create their own YouTube channel and embed videos on their own website or blog. Viewers can see the artist at work, listen to their thoughts, and watch them create, establishing a more tangible experience with the art. Mashable

You Tube - easy share with Facebook

YouTube has just added a small feature with big implications: the ability to link your Twitter, Facebook, and Google Reader accounts to YouTube and automatically send out an update as soon as you upload a new video.

This means a whole lot more YouTube notifications in the streams of your favorite social sites. Similar to how TwitPic has become the de facto tool for sharing pictures on Twitter, YouTube has just positioned itself as the way to share video inside of status updates. Mashable

Twitter and YouTube

Everyone's on The Twitter these days, so we've added a "share to Twitter" button under the Share options so you can easily send a video into your Twitterstream. (Feel free to change the prefilled text, if you like.) This was a big internal request, but we know many of you asked for it, too. We don't currently shorten the Video URL automagically but hope to get to it down the road.

Looking for helpful demos of Picasa? We've started the Picasa Community Channel on YouTube to showcase videos about Picasa and Picasa Web Albums created by users just like you. Feeds for YouTube Subscriptions

Last year I wrote about some feeds offered by YouTube that weren't available in the interface. Since then YouTube added feeds for search results, videos from a channel and even from your subscriptions: just click on the orange icon from the address bar and you should see the feeds. That means you no longer have to visit YouTube's homepage to find new videos from your subscriptions. You can subscribe to the following feed in Google Reader or another feed reader:

(replace "username" with your YouTube username)

The great thing is that you can subscribe to other users' feeds. For example, you'll find a lot of interesting videos in
Google's subscriptions, which include channels like: Webmaster Help, Google Talks, Google Developers etc

Shows

YouTube added a new tab titled "Shows" that highlights TV shows. "Today we're excited to announce a new destination for television shows and an improved destination for movies on YouTube, where partners like Crackle, CBS, MGM, Lionsgate, Starz and many others have made thousands of television episodes and hundreds of movies available for you to watch, comment on, favorite and share," announces the YouTube blog.
