your sites address is: sites.pittsgrove.net/sitename where sitename is the name you used in the "your site will be located at" box in Starting a Site teps, usually your first initial followed by last name. So: sites.pittsgrove.net/gwashington

Prior to Sept 16, 2008 you needed to use a longer address, such as: sites.google.com/a/pittsgrove.net/gwashington
This longer addressing system still works, but the shorter addresses are easier to remember and share with others. Both addresses will land a user on the same web site.

The address: https://sites.pittsgrove.....  is not the same as: http://sites.pittsgrove... (https vs. http).  http is the correct address.

The easiest way to get the address right is to leave off the http entirely when entering the address. Just type: sites.pittsgrove....

You may have to click the Sign In link at the bottom of the page to being editing. It's a small link, easy to miss, just below the main block of content on each one of your pages.
