There at three kinds of links you can add: a link to another page in your site, a link to a page outside your site, and a link to an email address. You can also edit an existing link.
Linking to a page within your site:- Type the text that should become the link, and highlight it. For example:
You can also view my homework page.
- Click the Link button.
- On the resulting window, Exising Pages should be selected at the left, and all of your pages will be listed at the right. Click the page you want to link to.
(If you want to link to a page you have not yet created, select "Create New Page" at the bottom. See other pages on this help site for instructions on creating pages and finding pages with the Site Map.)
- Press Ok.
Linking to a page outside of your site:- When you want to link to a web site on the internet-at-large, or to another teacher's web page, First type the text that should become the link, and highlight it. For example:
You can find current events at CNN.com.
- Click the Link button.
- If the highlighted text is the address of the site (as in the example above) it will become a link automatically. If not, on the resulting window, Web Address should be selected at the left, and you will need to type (or copy-paste) the address of the page you are linking to.
- Press Ok.
Linking to your email address:- Type your email address on the page.
- Highlight it and click the link button.
Or, if you want something other than your email address to appear on the page:
- Type the text that should become the link and highlight it. For example:
Feel free to email me.
- Click the Link button.
- On the resulting window, Web Address should be selected at the left, and you will need to type "mailto:cruzanb@pittsgrove.k12.nj.us" (without the quotation marks, and using your own email address).
- Press Ok.
Editing a linkTo edit a link you have already created, click on the link while in edit mode. A pop-up will appear letting you Change or Remove the link.
