Editing a page

Entering Edit Mode

  1. Your web browser may already be viewing the page you want to edit, if not, browse to that page.
If you don't know the address of your site, go to sites.pittsgrove.net and log in if you are not already logged in. You will see your site listed part of the way down the page. Click it.
  2. Click the Edit Page button at the top of the page you want to edit. If you do not see an edit button there are two possible reasons:
    1. You are already in edit mode. You can recognize this by seeing "Save" and "Cancel" buttons above the text on the page

    2. You are not signed into Pittsgrove.net. Under the main text area of any page click the "Sign In" link.

Editing the Page

  1. Once in Edit mode, begin typing your text on the page. Use the tools, such as Bold, Italic, Type colors, just as you would in a word processor.
  2. Important Tip: When typing section headings on your page you should use the "Format" drop down and select "Heading," "Subheading," etc. from the list. This is better than simply changing the appearance of section headings with type size features. Google Sites recognizes headings available from the Format menu in features you may want to take advantage of later.
  3. When done editing your page click the Save button. This will take you out of Edit mode.

Two-column Design

  • You can change to a two-column design for any one page using the "Layout" drop-down menu.

Other Page Editing Features
