Westboro Baptist Church (godhatesfags.com) Counterprotest

Please note: This is a peaceful protest. No matter how much one may disagree with the WBC's message, violence will not be tolerated.

The Westboro Baptist Church (WBC) of Topeka Kansas is coming to protest at West High School on December 12, 2008 right as school gets out. WBC is known for spreading lies and hatred across the country, protesting at the funerals of Iraq veterans and thanking God for the attacks of 911. Below is the description directly from the WBC website displaying their opinions of West and New Hampshire.

Concerning the tactics of the protest:

The protest against the Westboro protest must be completely nonviolent.

The counterprotest is being organized by students at West. We should be there for support only.

Open carry is encouraged, however please stay in the area across the street from the school if you are.

Protesters may show their support for lgbt rights in a serious manner, by waving flags, holding signs, or wearing relevant t-shirts. This protest is for people of all political persuasions. This is about New Hampshire rejecting hatred and bigotry, and promoting tolerance and love. Unity and seriousness are essential.
