The Penn Charter libraries offer a number of subscription
databases which have been designed specifically for K-12 students
and/or vetted by educators. Our librarians are constantly on the
lookout for tools appropriate for our students. As we work with your child to develop research skills, we encourage them to use these research tools even at home! While Google and YouTube, as well as many other search engines and video hosting sites, are extremely popular (particularly with kids), they are not developed with children in mind; children using these tools should have close adult supervision. Mistyping or enthusiastic clicking can inadvertently take your child to inappropriate websites. We want our students to be smart, responsible, and safe Internet users that know how to choose appropriate resources. To access the research tools provided by Penn Charter, please click here to go the Penn Charter Libraries Research Tools page. Note: These databases are for the use of Penn Charter students. The access information for these databases should not be shared. |
