For more than twenty years, the Lower School Hand Bell Choir has existed as an extra-curricular music ensemble. It is a unique performance group that has served to teach fourth and fifth grade students how to ring hand bells, read music, and work together to make beautiful music. The ensemble meets every Wednesday in the first and third trimesters as part of the After School Enrichment Program. The rehearsal calendar for hand bells goes beyond the standard eight week enrichment calendar in order to properly prepare students for performance in the winter and spring concerts. Our current group will perform two numbers for the Lower School winter concert on Friday, December 18, 2009 at 1pm.
