•The goal is for the fifth graders to be able to do their homework independently

• On average students should have about 50 minutes of homework per evening, including the 30 minutes of reading. Generally they should not have more than 90 minutes in an evening. Please let the fifth grade teachers know if homework is problematic for your child.

•Please have your child check this website for new homework if your child is absent.

•Reading is Homework: At least thirty minutes of pleasure reading each evening.

•On Wednesdays there is usually no new assignments. Wednesday is the perfect day to do even more pleasure reading and catch up on long range assignments.
