Advanced Physics is a dynamic, rigorous
course in physics principles and concepts.
We will explore our physical world and how the key players in it
interact with each other as we master the central topics of mechanics, energy
relations, conservation laws, and wave theory.
This will be accomplished by providing students with an environment that
allows them to learn physics by doing
physics! Advanced Physics is an
activity-driven, project-based learning course that requires students to work
independently and cooperatively to construct knowledge and apply the concepts
and principles of the course. The language of physics is mathematics. Therefore,
Advanced Physics students will apply algebra and trigonometry to the basic
concepts identified and developed in this course. In addition, we will use technology
extensively for research, data collection and analysis, communication, and testing.
