Sponsors met at the Pecos Desert Test Center February 18th to discuss the upcoming field testing of low impact lease road designs.
Objectives of the RPSEA Project
· To use the Desert Test Center to evaluate the usefulness of novel new types of designs for low impact roads in the Chihuahua desert. The objectives of the meeting were to:
o Inspect the desert test site and select a place where the road materials could be placed.
o Coordinate with ARA so that we would not affect their operations or schedule.
o Find a location where we could use traffic coming and going from the site to use as vehicular traffic across the road materials.
o Discuss a time schedule for implementing the demonstrations.
o Discuss the monitoring of the road sections. |
