ØThe company owns all rights in a U.S. patent on the XLP platform, a floating moored oilfield production structure for deepwater application having multiple pairs of inclined buoyant legs supporting a deck and a subsurface damping plate for reducing the motions of the platform. The platform patent is U.S. Patent No. 7,293,939 issued November 11, 2007 entitled “Inclined Leg Floating Production Platform with a Damper Plate.” The company also owns the rights in patent applications on the XLP platform that are currently pending in Europe, Canada, Mexico and Australia.
ØThe company owns all rights in a U.S. patent application on pins that will engage and disengage socket bores in the assembly and disassembly of large structures such as floating offshore platforms.
ØThe company has an exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license for the use of a lubrication system for movable pins that will ease the movement of the pins into corresponding socket bores and will maintain long-term functionality of the pins. The lubrication system is covered by a U.S. patent application filed in 2006
ØIn addition, the company has pending patent applications on the critical ancillary technology related to the pins connecting the structural components of the platform and the long term maintenance of unimpaired pin operation. |
