We just got back from the 2009 USASA Nationals at Copper Mountain, Colorado!!!
What a trip it was. 16 PCSBT riders attended Nationals this year, facing about 1500 of the USA's highest level competitors. We were represtented in all five disciplines: Slopestyle, Halfpipe, Boardercross, Giant Slalom, and Slalom. Throughout the week we were on the podium 11 times! Other ISS competitors were on the podium 13 times, earning us a total of 24 medals for our series this season. A big congrats goes out to Lila Tomlinson, Heather Herde, Garrett Sorteburg, Daniel Munzo, and Nicole Roundy.

Also competing in Nationals this year were Jordan Tramp, Jeremy Thornburg, Shaw Irwin, Andrew Tassell, Jed Doane, Anna Miller, Skyler Ordean, Matthew Grant, Jacob Hunsaker, Jane and Summer Tomlinson, and Blair Englebrecht. Also occuring in Colorado during Nationals was 'The Launch', a kids' superpark photo shoot hosted by Keystone resort and Snowboarder Magazine. PCSBT riders Jed Doane and Sam Taxwood were invited to the shoot, both bagging shots on the sunny day of the shoot, keep your eyes peeled for their shots in upcoming issues of Snowboarder Magazine.

Following Nationals, PCSBT coaches Jacob Levine and Reid Persing attending Transworld Magazine's 2010 Good Wood Snowboard Test at Breckenridge. Jacob and Reid spent the week testing next years snowboards contributing their expertise to the wealth of information which will become a part of Transworld's buyer's guide, to be published this fall.
On their off days in Colorado, the team filmed for this year's video at Breckenridge, Keystone, and in some other secret Summit County locations. They also skateboarded at the new training facility: Woodward at Copper. The Colorado trip was the final portion of the 2009 season for the Park City Snowboard Team. The riders worked hard, and it payed off.
As the Park City Snowboard Team prepares for next winter they will make two snowboard trips, one to Mt. Hood and the other to New Zealand. To get involved or purchase a copy of this year's team video contact jacob@pcsbt.org. The Mission:
