***MRC ALERT *** October 5th, 8th and 15th

David Saphier PA-C, Local Health Officer for Rumford, Mexico and Dixfield has informed me that the Oxford County Medical Reserve Corps will be activated to assist in administering seasonal flu vaccine to school children in the local school districts.

We need to know how many people may be available to participate. For liability reasons we might need you to register  in a CDC volunteer registry. We will be vaccinating hundreds of children, which will require many volunteers. It is not too late for friends and family to join the MRC's efforts.

Sunday 10am to 10pm Potential need at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School
A concert in Oxford Hills has the potential of overwhelming local health care systems. Please inform us if you are available to assist if we need to open an alternate care site.

OCMRC is currently on alert in response to the H1N1 pandemic. All members are requested to prepare their families for the potential of an activation.
