Federal disaster assistance legislation has been drafted to cover the
losses in California and Arizona resulting from natural disasters in
2005, 2006 and 2007. The amount of money requested comes primarily from
losses in California during the 2007 Freeze. This legislation has been
passed in both houses of the U.S. Congress and will be addressed by the
Administration soon.
