On Saturday, April 19, a group of eight workers from OPPC traveled to Lewis County to work on flood damaged homes.
Duncan and Dave Moehring worked on removing wet insulation from the (very low) crawl space of a house in Chehalis. It was very difficult work, but they persevered and completed the job.
The remaining six members of the team completed the insulation of a double wide mobile home in Dryad. Additionally, the drywall was stocked for the ceilings in all the rooms. The team started drywalling the ceiling in two rooms. The team members in Dryad were: Neal Nelson, Dave and Carol Bosworth, Kathy Peters, Steve Miller, and Nancy Devine. We plan to return to the same home on May 3 to complete as much of the drywall as possible.
The home we worked on was near the destroyed Chandler Bridge. It was an awesome sight to see a large concrete bridge parallel to the river.
